1. I have not studied for years – will I be able to cope?
Absolutely! Many students feel like this when they start, but the course is easy to understand and fun to work through.You can study at home or in the classroom and relax knowing that you also have a passionate team of supporters ready to help with any hiccups along the way.
2. I want to do the course from home – but how much time do I need to invest?
Our courses are designed to fit in with busy lives! Whether you have a few nights or just a few hours a week, you can work through the course at a pace that fits with your lifestyle. All theory is completed online and your practical work placement can be completed at a time that fits in with the rest of your commitments at a venue or facility that suits you and you’re comfortable in!
3. I want to try studying by myself, but can I move to classroom courses if I change my mind once I have already started?
Yes, of course! We offer our courses online, through correspondence, face to face (full time or part time dependant on numbers) and even blended! Whatever way you learn best, we’ll have the solution for you.
4. What is blended learning?
Glad you asked! Our blended course is the best of both worlds. You study your theory online, but, where required, meet once a week for a tutorial and practical session on site. This allows you to take minimum time out of your busy life, but still gain the practical skills needed with the support of a trainer/assessor. Touching base once a week helps you stay on track and experience the benefits of still working with a group of other passionate people.
5. How sophisticated does my computer have to be?
You should have access to a computer equipped with at least 16 megs of RAM, be on the Internet, and have a java-enabled browser. For our on-line courses we recommend you use either Firefox Mozilla.
6. Firefox and PDF files
If you have Firefox, you may not be able to see all PDF files posted. In such situation you need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.
7. Do I have to pay for my course up front?
We will need at least deposit. We prefer you pay for your course before you start however, we also understand that not everybody can afford to pay in full. You can invest in your career by paying upfront with great savings, or if not you c an discuss your options with our helpful administration staff and take advantage of our payment plan options.
8. Payments
We prefer payment be made into our Wespac Banking Account by EFT. On your enrolment and confirmation you will be sent an invoice with all the necessary details on how and where to transfer your payment funds.
9. Are the courses nationally recognised?
Yes! Yes! Yes. TTS-100 The Training Solution is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO#51951) and all courses are nationally recognised. But wait…there’s more! Australian qualifications are respected around the world, so even if you travel, your qualifications with us will open doors for you.
10. Will I feel confident enough to start working straight away?
Yes! We pride ourselves on producing ‘industry ready’ graduates. As a student you will learn to put your knowledge into practice when you undertake the work placement component of our course. This is an essential part of our program. Here you not only practice your skills and gain confidence, you also gain real life experience of how the industry works.
11. Are there many job opportunities?
There certainly are! With the stresses and challenges people are facing now, health and well being is being valued more than ever. This means people who are “trained properly” are very much in demand! A high percentage of our students are offered jobs while they complete their work experience, so you can feel very confident about the opportunities our courses will present.
12. How does it work?
Our courses provide an introduction to your new career by detailing the requirements and responsibilities as well as the administrative and legislative frameworks that impact upon your role and work environment. If we don’t have it listed we can get it for you.
Some of the courses offered online have a 1-2 day face to face component. That may include role plays, scenarios, case studies and practicals. Face to face component will take place at a venue convenient to both trainer and student and details of the exact dates and location will be posted prior to the course end date.
13. What are the advantages?
